David also known as Mooney, 19 years old died sadly on Sunday 15th july 2007 while he was doing his
job as a lifeguard at Wolsingham community pool he was from crook but originally Washington. He had
a brother Darren 23 and a half brother Richard 41. His mother Allison died 9 years ago and his
Father Richard is 61 and has been traumatised by the incedent.
He was my cousin and wouldn't say no to anybody if he was asked to do something for someone and
he could he would because he had a heart of gold he didn't do drugs and didn't smoke but
like any teenaged lad he enjoyed a drink on a weekend. He was a really lovely lad and meant so much
to me he has gone too soon... please keep leaving your tributes and condolences or lighting candles
if you have something to say to him... don't be scared because he would like the idea that he
is still in our thoughts and always will be. xx

well what a can say , you sure know how to shock us all thers not a day go by a dont think of u lad ! not just me but all the lads aswell. am sure you will look after your mam , ya dads been getting a new car lol a new honda civic .. a dont realli no what to write on these things but R.I.P mate cya eventually xx

my cousin was one of the lasses to witness the tragedy and go for help, i never met him but from what ive heard he was a truely lovely lad who was a great lifeguard,and died doing more than just his job, playing with my younger cousin and her friend at the pool. Godbless David x

Gone too soon. you were a cracking lad only saw you a few times but when i did we had a laugh. especially when doing your newcastle tattoo. Going to miss you young 'un xxx

David you were so full of fun no one could replace you. You were a great lifeguard always laughing. Me and my friend went for help as soon as we new you were in danger. I just remember the good times in the pool :) never forget them. God only takes the best. And he chose you because he ran out of angels.
